The Amanda Joyce Scholarship

In 2024, the Amanda Joyce Scholarship was created in honor of Amanda Joyce, a young adult with Primary Immunodeficiency, by her family. This generous scholarship is given annually to one or more deserving college students with primary immunodeficiency, as a means to help offset the mounting costs of a college education.

2025 Recipient

The scholarship's first recipient is Kinsey Foland, a junior attending NC State University. Kinsey, who was diagnosed at the age of 2 with Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID) is pursuing a major in Psychology and a Minor in Social Work, with a concentration on Pediatric Mental Health and Development.

It is her hope to use her career to advocate for other children with CVID, and help pediatric patients who have struggled with complex health disorders to understand the mental effects of a physically debilitating disease.

Thank you, Joyce Family, for your generous contributions, and congratulations, Kinsey!
